Greetings to all, With great enthusiasm and anticipation, I am delighted to welcome all distinguished members and residents of the IATCVS community to the 17th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Association of Thoracic, Cardiac, and Vascular Surgeons. This year’s meeting will be held from August 13th to 15th, 2026, at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta. As we continue to face the growing demand to strengthen cardiothoracic and vascular surgical services across Indonesia, our collective responsibility becomes ever more significant. Expanding access, enhancing quality, and ensuring equitable distribution of advanced surgical care remain central to our mission. The development of thoracic and vascular specialties alongside cardiac surgery is essential to achieving comprehensive and sustainable national health progress. The theme of this year’s meeting, “Advancing Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery in Indonesia: Innovation, Standardization, and Equity,” reflects our strategic priorities. Innovation drives progress and keeps us aligned with global advancements. Standardization ensures consistency, safety, and measurable outcomes. Equity guarantees that these advancements are accessible to patients throughout the archipelago, not limited to major centers alone. Throughout this three-day scientific program, participants will engage in plenary lectures, symposia, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops designed to foster knowledge exchange and practical advancement. This meeting is not merely an academic forum, but a platform to refine our standards, strengthen collaboration, and build a unified direction for the future of our specialty. I extend my sincere appreciation to the organizing committee, speakers, sponsors, and all contributors whose dedication has made this meeting possible. May this 17th Annual Scientific Meeting serve as a catalyst for meaningful progress, professional growth, and tangible improvements in patient care across Indonesia. Let us move forward with clarity of purpose, shared commitment, and determination to elevate cardiothoracic and vascular surgery in our nation. Sincerely, Heston G. B. Napitupulu, M.D Organizing Committee
